Your title to this piece (Senator Sessions (R-AL) 'offended' by notion of human-caused warming) is misleading and divisive. The senator was clearly offended by the demeaning comment regarding 2% of scientists not believing that smoking is a cause of lung cancer. The senator appeared to be defending the people from the latest onslaught of new proposed tax legislation - essentially punishing us for using electricity - while citing that the degree of the warming effect, predicted by the scientists, is inaccurate as evidenced by the facts.
